Meet The Team

Roger Wilcoxen, Ph.D., BCPCLC, OWDS, BCCC
Founder and Biblical Coach and Counselor
Roger is a member of American Association of Christian Counselors and licensed as Board Certified Christian Counselor and Professional Life Coach through International Board of Certified Christian Counselors and Coaches. He holds a PhD in Christian Psychotherapy with emphasis on Professional Addiction Recovery Counselor from United Graduate College and Seminary and a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from University of Saint Mary with emphasis on brain injury. He also holds training and credentialing through Prepare and Enrich as a Certified Facilitator for premarital and marriage counseling. He further holds Offender Workforce Development Specialist credentials through the Department of Corrections. With over 20 years of experience, Roger utilizes an evidence-based and person-centered approach to coaching and counseling. He has piloted recovery programs various prisons including Ft. Leavenworth JRCF, served as a Clinical Supervisor overseeing a team of mental health professionals, worked as a contractor overseeing family court cases during parental reintegrations, and worked with individuals and couples in various capacities.

As a pastor with strong biblical roots, Roger passionately helps clients foster relational awareness with Christ, self and others. Utilizing biblical principles, Roger partners with individuals, couples, families and groups to gain insight into thoughts, feelings and behaviors as it relates to personal understanding of Christ. He has written several books, articles, been interviewed by media outlets, and been a keynote speaker at several state and national conventions.

Note from Roger: Whether you are facing a transition in life, struggling with mental health, or desire to work toward self-improvement, I can support you in achieving personal growth. In addition to the many educational and life experiences, I enjoy assisting individuals discover creative thinking whether it be in problem solving, setting goals, or transitioning through career or educational experiences.

As a gardener and owner of miniature donkeys, I have learned the importance of having personal sabbaths. Sabbaths come in various forms. My personal sabbaths resemble a getaway to a small oasis. Whereas some may see raising donkeys and gardening as work, this has become my personal space where I can escape, rest, and reflect. I will assist individuals discover their personal oasis, or even possibly through creativity. develop one.

Our work together can help you gain insight into how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors impact one another. You will also learn concrete coping and cognitive skills based upon biblical principles to make positive, lasting change. By developing insight, and learning these skills, you can increase self-esteem and lead a healthy, fulfilling life.

Colleen Wilcoxson, Mental Health Coach
Colleen is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors. Her studies focus upon mental health coaching through Light University consisting of several specializations. Colleen's major strengths consists of addiction and recovery, transitioning through life's obstacles, developing plans of action and assisting individuals through mental health crisis. She provides person-centered, biblically-based coaching. She leads Celebrate Recovery classes at Church at The Gate and at Community Corrections. She enjoys being outdoors and loves all types of animals with her favorite being horses. When she gets a chance, she enjoys riding her Harley throughout the countryside.
